What Do You Wish to Step into?

It’s Wishcasting Wednesday at Jamie Ridler Studios, and her question today is “What do you wish to step into?”

I have to admit, the very first thought that popped into my mind was “not into poop”.

Bison poop - the kind you find in Yellowstone all the time

This is so typical me. I don’t seem to be able to behave seriously, there are always these ridiculous or funny thoughts that just turn up and I more often than not blurt out loud. And feel ridiculous and stupid afterwards.

But when contemplating the question I realized that I wish to step into being who I am, be authentic. I want to be me with all my heart, enjoying my good sides and accepting the not so lovely parts of me. Yes, that includes accepting those “first ideas” without feeling stupid. I don’t want to pretend to be someone I am not. I want to be okay with my imperfect self. I do not want to apologize for myself all the time.

I just want to be me.

You know, I've heard it said that a great sense of humor is a sign of genius ;-) (I have those kind of thoughts all the time myself and - like you - usually they come out of my mouth before I can even think about it! lol)

Be yourself. BE.

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!

I loved your first thought and your picture to go with it. It made me smile and think that is someone I would like to know. So keep being just who you are so everyone can get to know the real you. As Carola wishes for herself, I wish for her as well.

I love that you didn't have to censor yourself. Poop happens...and I don't want to step into it either. :)

Carola, as you wish for yourself, I wholehearted wish for you too.

And you do not have to apologize for those traits. People should thank you for bringing joy and a smile into their lives. That's what you brought into mine today and I thank you!!

Thanks for coming by for a visit today. I am glad that you liked my "Love Rocks" card. I agree and was just looking over old posts and was thinking that when I do things without a lot of thought and just go with the flow of how my creative self feels my creations are much better.

Dear Carola,
First. let me say, that although I didn't answer this wishcast yet, when I saw the question, my first thought was the same as you! Kindred spirits, eh? My sense of humor is always the first to respond to just about everything. I love the rest of what you wrote..it is such a recurring theme in my life right now and it is always amazing to see that I am not alone in that. We all seem to be on the same journey, albeit, different roads. Secondly, for some reason, my blog wouldn't let me respond to you thru email, so let me thank you from my heart for your wonderful words in response to my posting. That post was like a final purging that needed to be done so that the pump could finally run clear. It was hard..I don't do sharing woundedness that easily. Anyway, I feel blessed to be making new friends through blogging and your support means alot to me! Thank you so much and blessings to you, friend. bertie

I giggled out loud! but our house laughs about those bodily functions!
anyway, did you notice there is a "heart" shape in the center of this poop pile? now, that's creative!! or maybe if you don't see it, I would have to say I have an eye for hearts?!!?

Love your blog header photo! It's gorgeous!
My first (and censored) thought was also "poop". As Carola wishes for herself, I wish for her also.

Hi Carola-yes...shit happens! It helps not to step in it though:) Just what I need right now...a good laugh. Yes...I think it's great to cultivate authenticity...i strive for it all the time. Its' difficult when you are blogging and there is so much (self imposed) pressure...it's difficult but important to remain authentic.
Things have been ever so hectic around here today-we had a home showing! Yes...I love sitting on our back porch and watching the animals. We have a gazebo on our back patio...so Tara and I can sit outside warm and toasty under the covers...even in the rain! LOVE that! WE LIVE outside! xxx

I never thought I'd say that bison poop is cool, but that photograph is amazing! I love the honesty of this post. I think you are great and humorous--don't change a thing. Life can be taken way to seriously sometimes. You made me smile and laugh with this post!

Hehehe, When reading your journal title I had a visual image similar to your photo pop into my head so we think alike! I love that you went with it and didn't worry what others might think. Like you, I also want to be more authentic and learn to go with my first instinct instead of overthinking or limiting myself to please others.

Love your wish! May I join with you in it?

As Carola wishes for herself, so do I wish for her also!

Carola, I can relate to all your themes. I appreciate your desire to be your self without censorship. I just have to "let it all hang out" as well. That is authenticity. Thanks for your fun comments on my "Goaty-Gifts" post. We are "poop" pals now...
