Summer is the time for wearing light colorful hats to protect your face from the sun. Do you do that? I sometimes do and sometimes don't. However, I do like hats in bright colors.
Yes! I wear a big brimmed hat all the time outdoors. I do it to protect my skin from the sun (against skin cancer threat). I also like how I look in my big hat! I get a lot of smiles when I wear it around town. It's also helpful for when I am out drawing in public. Gives me some shade! I have two big brimmed hats I trade off wearing. How many do you have? Are those all YOURS in the photo??? ;-)
I always try to wear a hat in the sun - in the last few years I've started to get really awful age spots on my face and the hats should help. Baseball caps look awful on me, but I feel like I can rock a broad brimmed straw hat. So that's my hat of choice. Rinda
Hats..are all of thise yours? I have a strange relationship with hats and sunshine....I like a brim to protect the back of my neck, but Im uncomfortable with my face under a brim....I think its because Im short and have to tilt my head back to engage!!
Lovely hats Carola! Thank goodness I am not near enough to buy one of these.... I love to buy hats, but interestingly enough... rarely wear them. Fun shot!
I just bought a new hat that would fit right in with the ones in your photo. Unfortunately, I'm better about buying them than wearing them. Seems like they are either too tight or the wind is trying to carry them away!
Carola, I always see hats that I love and I love them on other people, but when I get them I never end up wearing them! I just use visors for sun protection or (mostly) stay in the shade these days. Maybe I just haven't found the right one yet... Anyway, this is a lovely shot.
FABULOUS image, Carola. If I'm in bright sun, I HAVE to wear a hat because skin cancer is in my family big time. But here in the Netherlands, there is hardly that kind of bright sun, so I find I don't wear a hat...even when I probably still should. :(
