Meandering Lilies

Last Saturday when I visited Olompali State Park, the first thing I noticed before even entering the parking lot were the beautiful trees and the Calla Lilies that grow here in abundance.

They follow the creek that you can only hear but not see. It's lovely how they meander through the meadow and past the trees.

Processed with Kim's texture "kk_evolve2"

There were many lovely spots that showed the wilderness of this place and where the Calla Lilies emerged.

I'm usually not a big fan of Calla Lilies, but here in this park, at this creek I loved them. They were perfect and belonged here.

I'm linking up with Kim's Texture Tuesday.

Cattails are wonderful plants we find in nature as well,
often in wild places next to a lake or river.
They make beautiful photo cards, available in my Etsy store.

Carola, I don't think I've ever seen these in bloom in a natural habitat...always in a pot at the flower shop. Great pictures!

Das wird ja immer schöner, was Du da von dem Park zeigst :)
Ich wette, dort werden ganz viel Hochzeitsfotos gemacht, so romantisch wie es dort aussieht :))
Wünsche Dir noch einen schönen Tag!

Lovely photos. I really like the one with the tree trunk showing the rings. I've not seen masses of Callas like these. A beautiful setting.

Like Linda Kay, I've never seen Calla Lilies in their natural state. They are beautiful! Such lovely photos. {PS - I think you'd like duChemin's presets. Many of them are very well suited to landscape photography, which isn't a surprise. :-) }

Das sieht total schön aus - und dann diese vielen Lilien - bin ganz beeindruckt, dass die da so einfach in der Natur rumstehen :-)

How very, very beautiful. My mother told me that Callas were funeral flowers. She would have changed her mind seeing these.

What a beautiful place Carola. I love the Calla Lilies in a setting like this. They are like a frothy stream flowing through the grasses.

Calla lilies in the wild! I can’t believe it but as you have actually taken these pictures I suppose I must.

I still find it amazing, callas grow in gardens, in summer, and even then they are not easy to cultivate. But in the wild!
I’m speechless.

You have an eye for composition. The last time I saw Calla Lilies blooming wild was in New Zealand. It looks so green - you must have had rain.

Beaiutiful. Callas are usually not one of my favorite flowers. However, in a nautual habitat in large quantity they are beautiful. Thank you for showing your wonderful photos.

Beautiful photos! My experience has been that it's quite difficult to get really nice photos of white flowers ... you did an excellent job on the Calla Lilies. So cool the way they trail along the creek. Nice work!
