This, however, is not my first "The Owl and the Girl" painting - a few weeks ago I created another mixed media painting featuring a girl and an owl. I did make it for the swap with Donna who sent me her wonderfully altered book.
Yes, the owl is a photo of "my" Mama Owl. I hope I will see her again next year.

Love the new canvas, especially since it has such meaning after your owl story this year. I spent the bulk of the day cleaning up my craft space - did lots of organizing and some purging. Hope that this will help be more creative in the new year.

Like both pieces. You have the start of a theme you can develop. I can imagine all sorts of owl/girl paintings just waiting for you to create them.
