On my work table today are actually two projects. I'm working on my second page for my art journal and have just created some kind of background using watercolors. The last time I painted with water colors is ages ago and I feel that I have to learn and practice a lot. I'm so impatient - and this page will be about that, my impatience.
Project #2 is a little piece for an online class about mixed media I'm currently taking. This is so much fun!!! I was so tired today, but when I started working on this canvas I had a really good time. I'm creating the background at the moment, this is just the beginning. I wonder where it will take me. This picture shows the canvas just after I had put another layer of Modpodge on, it's still wet. So far, I like it. Next, I will slash paint on it.

You have just inspired me! I used to do quite a bit of experimentation with sketch books but somehow I left it behind feeling too tired of an evening - I think it's time to get the paints and glue out!

Ooh Carola, your work doesn't give away your impatience! Me too - it's why I don't start stuff without having the end in mind...the 'jurney' makes me nuts! I LOVE the colours that you've arrived at in journal and on canvas.

I'm so impatient with art, too. The key is to have 2 projects going at once and to pull yourself away from the first project before you ruin it. :) That part I have to learn. Very pretty colors! Nice to see your having fun.

Both projects look gorgeous already, can't wait to see them finished. I definitely can't wait until spring, mind you I feel lucky to be in the uk compared to other bloggers weather, I like snow but not sure I could cope with that much cold.
