Made in Germany 1

As you know I'm from Germany, and I had this idea to start a series of pictures from Germany, perhaps even accompanied with some words (don't worry, the words will be in English). I looked through my pictures and think that I have enough pictures to get me going for many weeks and hopefully still keep your interest.

Every Monday I will post one picture "Made in Germany" and if I have something to say, I'll do so. If YOU have a picture taken in Germany or of something German or want to share something German, you are welcome to join - just leave the URL in the comments section.

The photo above was taken in the Black Forest, certainly one of the more famous parts of Germany. I used to live close to the Black Forest and often on the weekends I would drive out there to hike or just enjoy the forests and the splendid views. It was my way of "fueling up" between the work days.

This is just gorgeous. Trees were some of the things that I loved about Germany when I visited many years ago, trees of different colours and types. This photo brings back so many memories.

one of my very best friends lived for seven years in Bonn

I miss my long visits now she is back in the uK.

Koln has the most impressive cathedral I have ever visited, and the gallery next to it had a most wonderful Salvador Dali expo.

yep love the culture,

and the weirdness you just don't expect - if I get brave I may post the erotic art from the railway cafe toilet....i blush just thinking about it, and yes I spent far too long looking....

What a nice idea for a series -- your photo is lovely! I was born in Germany, but left before my first birthday, so I am curious to see what it looks like. (I hope to visit someday.)

Beautiful. I remember camping in the Black Forest in a Volkswagen camper many, many years ago ~ it was spectacular.

Looking forward to this as Germany is a country I haven't yet had a chance to visit (been to England, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic - so I've circle it! LOL).

Great idea and beautiful shot of those sunlit trees. Heck, I could take part in this couldn´t I:)
Every Monday you say...ok,,,let´s see if I can rummage through my millions of fotos here for next Monday:)
and yes, that is raffia,,,the wide stuff at the top of the tag. I like the stiffness of it compared to floppy normal ribbon.
If you email me I have something for your German Mondays that I think you will like:)

Love the colours you have captured with the sunlight changing the leaves to gold.

Sehr schon! (And that's about the extent of what is left of my high school German.) Lovely image and I look forward to seeing more and learning more about Germany from you. This is a great idea!

What a fun idea, Carola. I lived in Hannover for 2 weeks of every month for two years and took LOTS of pictures there, as you can imagine. One of my favorites is of their new town hall:

Oh I want to find some photos from my travels in Germany. I lived in Switzerland and France so travels to Germany especially Garmische area were often.

I think the area is so beautiful, but then again I'm just biased to being in Europe and all of it's beauty.
