A Fabulous Sunset

Today was a gorgeous day, and the cream on top was a fabulous sunset that I could see right from my front door. The colors in winter seem to be so much more intense. It looked as if the sky was on fire.

This is what I saw when I looked Southwest. However, when I turned my head to the Southeast I saw this:

I love these eucalyptus trees, although they are quite messy trees. Their smell, however, is unique and unmistakable.

To the west, the sky was all pink and purple. It quite took my breath away.

And this is how all this was reflected in the birdbath:

stunning... I really like the pic of the sky in the birdbath... I'm still plodding along learning to use my Canon - especially at night...

great shots!! On fire is right,,,at first I thought you were showing us some of California´s herendous forest fires...luckily it is just a "blazing" sunset and a beauty at that! Super reflection in the birdbath too!

beautiful sunsets always stop me dead in my tracks, always have. how can something be so utterly exquisite..well, it's nature...of course it can be :). out here there is nothing better than an early evening 'sundowner' whilst out in the bush somewhere...listening to the night sounds, birds and wild animals - can't think of anywhere i'd rather be :)
