Dreaming of a Cottage on the Sunset Coast

It's Friday and that mains Paint Party Friday! I haven't been there a lot recently, and only a week ago I came back from our trip up the Oregon and Washington coast. But now it definitely is time to join the party again.

I'm still full with all the images of our coastal trip. This was one of my most favorite trips ever and I deeply fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. No wonder that it is a topic in my creative work as well. Here is my newest art journal page, just finished this morning.

I used some patterned paper scraps, book page, cardstock, acrylic paints, two stamps and PITT pens.

I'm also linking this to Studio JRU for Sneak Peek Friday. Please come and visit the other artists as well.

I'm thrilled to hear of someone falling in love with the Pacific Northwest because it is, obviously, attached to Canada's Pacific southwest where I spent most of my life. My hometown, on the Pacific by the US border, will always be home to me, no matter how long I live out here on the prairie.

I especially love the silhouette! And the sunset type colors...from a distance I can see the shape of the cross formed by the windows and door of the house. So good to see what you have been up to!

I like the figure in black too and the background seems to be calling to that person. Nice job. Happy PPF!

I love all the colors and textures to this piece, you've really captured a sort of bittersweet longing for the place- and that heart was the perfect finishing touch; gorgeous!
Happy PPF (a day late;))

This is a such a lovely piece - I can really feel the warmth of the place with the gorgeous orange shades you've used. I've never been to the Pacific North West but dream of touring the whole of the States some day if my lottery numbers would just hurry up and come up!

Eine wunderschöne Seite in ganz tollen Farben, Das rote Herz ist ein wunderbare Hingucker, schöne Idee.
Zu deiner Frage wegen des "be still woman" Motivs... Es gehört zu einer Stempelplatte von Non Sequitur.
