Losing my Faces?
Well, of course I'm not losing them... but I'm trundling behind with my 29 Faces, way behind. It doesn't really come as a surprise - was I ever able to do these kind of challenges completely AND stay on time? I think during all my online classes and challenges that only happened once.
So I want to show six more of the faces I have done so far. The one on top was another one with the spray ink technique, but I don't like this one as much as I did the first one. The girl with the long red braid is Eleanor - I just love to draw/paint girls. It gives me so much pleasure. I wish I was more able to paint more expression in their faces - I still have so much to learn.
Then I thought it would be nice for a change to paint something completely different and still stay within the face-frame. That's how this little star was born.
But in the end I went back to girls. The following was just a practice sheet done on some piece of copy paper. I have never been good in painting profiles. Tam showed us how to do it in Life Book 2014, and with that it was easier. But I wanted to practice it before I started painting on the "big sheet".
And here is week 6 of Life Book - spray inks and acrylics. This lesson was so much fun, and I quite like it.
My plan had been to link up with Paint Party Friday, but I'm way too late for that now.

this is a fantastic showing of faces Carola!! I think it's wonderful you are taking the challenge regardless of how many you get completed.
Oh, I like that last one a lot. She's quite different, isn't she? I love the flowers and rainbow of colors around her.
you have been busy! All wonderful! I particularly like your backgrounds in the last two - such beautiful warm colours
Oh wow, these are all great Carola. Excellent faces with their own distinct personality. Good work.
I do love your quirky soulful faces. Thank you.
Cute profiles, Carola. I like them.

I thought of you when I saw it.
Not too late for PPF at all. I didn't even make it. Somehow I can't keep doing a face a day and still do the PPF as well and visit all the people on both challenges.
Anyway, I loved seeing the wonderful and different paintings you did this week. Beautiful colors.
These just keep getting better and better!
Hello Carola! those faces look beautiful! Last two are my favorites :) I have a bit obsession about hair and I like all the colors! Great work. -Niina
Oh, what inspiring color therapy I got from these faces. Strong, vivid colors! I especially enjoyed the top and bottom faces. strength in texture and background.
wow you have been busy Carola and all fab projects, especially love the first one. Annette x

I love the faces - the last 2 are my favorites - yes I really like your practice piece as well as the finished painting.
Nice work, I especially like the last one with that hair flower. Saludos
Love the face with the red flowers and the star. Fun! Staying on time with such challenges is always a challenge itself. Happy PPF!
I like your faces – I did like the first one of the bearded man with the blue eyes and the heart shaped mouth. In one of your comments to me I think you asked me for titles for more books on Paris and France. I’ll send you an email showing some of those I read.
Wonderful star and love that last one!
These are all fantastic! Truly, they are! But I have to admit, the second last one. The profile, in grey, with the flowers, is stunning! Bravo!
Wonderful variety of faces! I know, it's hard to keep up with the challenge, but when February is over you'll be happy with all the experience and all the work you created (at least, I always am ...)
Love the bright happy star . Great collection of faces, you certainly have been a busy artist!
Annabelle : )
Eleanor is so pretty and the background in that last piece is just fabulous!
