WOYWW - Not Much

Hello WOYWWers, how are you doing? I hope you're doing fine and those of you who don't I hope you feel better soon.

Well, this week there's not much going on on my worktable.

I'm working on this bear who's picture I took in the Berlin Zoo almost two years ago - he will be the main part on one of my mixed media cards. Do you see the box of tissues? Well, we had quite a warm spell here in Northern California, some of the trees started to bloom (can you imagine?) and that means - allergies. I'm sneezing like mad and am on Claritin again. Drives me crazy, but things could be far worse, so I'm not complaining. By the end of the week there should be rain which we really need. Otherwise I'm afraid we're heading straight into the next drought.

I guess there are many many desks that are far more busier than mine, so check out the list over at Julia's blog and hop around the world! Have fun!

It's a wonderful photo (again) Carola! My sister's in Northern CA too, rain is a real priority - they use well water and have had to use a truck to replenish it this winter already! Don't forget to show us your finished bear card, huh!

I hear your pain in a different way - the damn fruit trees are budding before I had a chance to get the tree guy out to prune them!

it's crazy that Cali should be in bloom and we are still digging out from under a blizzard. Ok maybe not digging, but we are still surrounded by monsterous snow mounds. If you visit my WOYWW post from last week you can see how bad it was here: http://katemadedesigns.blogspot.com/2011/02/wow-woyww.html

Hope you feel better soon, allergies suck.

Heuschnupfen klingt nicht gut - Ich wünsche dir gute Besserung. Mal gucken, wie ich damit in diesem Frühjahr zu kämpfen habe... mal mehr, mal weniger... ich hoffe in diesem Jahr weniger ;)

Wonderful bear shot...and love the drop cloth, it's art too!
Hear you about the allergies...I can feel them sneaking it, but sure enjoyed my brisk noontime walk to the post office from my office and back!
Sun is good.

Hope your allergies get better. That is the one thing about spring I just don't like. The bear is awesome! I saw a family of black bears in New Mexico once and I was way to scared to remember to take a pic!

great shot of the bear. I couldn't help but notice your drop cloth. I love all the colors on it....It would make a great base for collage....

What a great picture! And I keep telling myself that my sniffles and cough are just allergies (So Cal) and not a cold, as I feel fine otherwise....positive thinking, right?!

Hey Carola,

My trees are blooming too. OH, I guess that's snow I see, not buds (grin). And yes, the tissues were the first thing I saw. I'm sorry to read you have allergies and they are flaring up right now. This is NOT a fun time if you suffer that way.

That bear is gorgeous. You take such wonderful photos. I'm going to pick your brain about the right camera to own one of these days. I'm sick of not getting good shots, because I really AM a good photographer. I'm looking for an SLR and will be e-mailing you after the OWOH event has closed. Thanks in advance for your help.

At the moment I am in the San Fernando Valley at the end of a vacation - I am aching and my chest is so tight - is this an allergy?
Some wonderful photography - wish I could get results like this - I love the cat, the wine and the ... everything. Thanks for sharing your wonderful photography.

I think I'd rather be sneezing in the warm than freezing in the cold but I still sympathise with you! Lovely pic of the bear.
Southern CA was lovely and warm too last week but I'm back now to cold wet England

Ugh I hate allergies. I had them in my teens but grew out of them, but in the last three or four years my husband has grown into a tree pollen allergy. Love the bear, in fact, I love your photos period! Have a great week.

I am a fellow sufferer from the effects of tree pollens, but I am also allergic to the spores of the fungus that grows at the base of grass stems, which is why I dread rain in the summer. That is when the spores are released. I love your bear and look forward to seeing what he appears in later.

Fabulous Bear picture, I especially love the front paws! Hope your sneezing stops soon. I hate being sneezey, especially at night when it wakes me up or causes me to bite my tongue. I'm more a Grumpy fan :D. #101
