Good-bye Katie

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that Katie lost her battle this afternoon. She was surrounded by her parents and her younger brother when she peacefully passed away.

My heart goes out to her family and to the family of her fiancé, Jesus, who died from his injuries earlier. I hope it is of some comfort to them that now Katie and Jesus will be together.

Thank you to all of you who responded to the post about Katie below, and who prayed for her and kept her in your hearts and thoughts.

Good-bye, beautiful girl. I feel blessed that I knew you. Your laughter, your funny stories, your humor and quick wit will stay in my heart. They still make me smile.

God bless you, Katie.

Oh my...I just stopped by and read the last post and this one...I am so sorry for your loss. There are few words to bring comfort; May the Lord comfort you, your family, Katie and Jesus family and hold you all near to Him as you mourn their passing.

Dearest Carola,

The only thing now is to send sweet comfort to you my love in our words, knowing that we joined hands, thoughts and prayers for katie, her wounds were too great to be mended. I have a sad heart for you, I'm sending comforting energy across the ocean to encompass you today.

Just hearing this story filled me with such sadness. I can't imagine the depth of sorrow felt by those who knew this beautiful young woman and her joy at finding love.

Oh Carola-I just read this post and the one before...my heart goes out to her family. What a tragedy...senseless and...for no reason at all. Sometimes I have to wonder at the violence in this world...I mean...what would possess someone to do this? Oh...my heart just goes out to the whole family...of Katy...and Jesus. What a tragic story...it really puts things in perspective, doesn't it? Sending you lots of love too...i know you must be deeply affected by this as well. just so senseless. xxx

Oh Carola my heart breaks for this young woman and her fiance. How tragic that such an insane act would impact innocence this way. The worse part is there is no way to make sense of an irrational act such as this one. So sad for all involved; I will pray for her and her family left behind.

Oh my goodness Carola I am terribly sorry for your loss and only wish I had been back into the blogging swing of things to be here sooner so I could also share my heartfelt hopes for Katie. I know it is such a struggle to understand why such things happen, but I wish you and her family peace in this time of sorrow, and light and comfort at all times that you are in need. I recently lost my father-in-law and had posted about it on my blog, and afterwards found it a little hard to go back. Stay with us here and take heart in the love that abounds in this world.

Such a sad tale, Carola, I just read this piece. It takes a while to be able to live relatively normally again fater living through a time like this, and their families will never recover or be the same. They are lucky to have a good friend like you there to support them. Go look for your ornage, it is a good choice!
