When I went to Trader Joe's this week I found these amazing peonies.
I love peonies. They were my mother's favorite flowers and I certainly carry this love for these beauties as well. Isn't this color dazzling? Some are coral pink and some are a slightly darker pink. They're simply incredible.
I played around in Lightroom a bit - same photo, but with Kim's preset "kk_oldendays".

Beautiful photographs and I can't choose between them.
I adore peonies but will have to wait a month or two for mine to come out in the garden. I have both pale pink and cerise ones. I love to bring a few stems in with a pompom head and watch them open so beautifully. We never ever get them here as cut flowers in the florists.

Oh, Carola! Those peonies are beautiful and the color IS dazzling! I like your edit but I like the original better. I love color and find it oh so hard to desaturate my flowers, in particular. Do you find that?

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers, such beautiful form, colors, and fragrance. I love the first photo here - so vivid against the dark background. It looks like a painting by one of the old Dutch masters.
