Dreamy Boats

Sometime in October I had planned to post this photo for Texture Tuesday, and then I completely forgot about it. I never posted it - so it will get its turn today.

Kim's preset "hazydazy" in LR and then layered with her texture "dustyrose" in multiply at 50%

I took the picture of these boats in the summer of 1989 while vacationing in France. I can't remember which river this was - I don't have good memories of this vacation and I only remember a very few places. I've also only kept a very few slides from that trip. For some reason I've kept these boats - and I'm glad I did.

I very much like the ethereal feel of this photo. The boat's red trim is perfect!

The boats are soft and dreamy, love the texture. I just noticed I have been at the spot your header photo was taken, only when I was there it was covered in fog. Your image is beautiful.

This picture is a story waiting to be told. Are the boaters off shore having a picnic? Or perhaps the boats are simply waiting for owners to find time to relax on the water. A beautiful picture that evokes memory of lazy days.

Looks like the scene of a tryst.
Anything you want to tell us :-) ?
Very peaceful and a touch of romance there.

BTW, I answered your query on my site, as it was rather a long answer.

Boats - and water have a charm which I hope I will always feel. And I would have loved to have gone out on that river in France. Soothing magic.

I had to walk away from my computer for a few minutes. On my way back, I saw your image from across a large room and it reminded me of a beautiful old etching. (From that distance it looked like it was printed in brown ink.)

Great image.
