After hollyhocks and poppies it's the daylillies' turn.

With our new home came a good-sized garden (and a HUGE front lawn that I eventually will take out) with mainly lawn and a few flowers, among them daylillies.

I have no experience with daylillies at all, but I was immediately captured by their beauty.

I will certainly keep them and take good care of them - they are lovely.

The rain drops are stunning on these. So sorry about the Germany football team - what a shocker the game was! I"m definitely pulling for Spain in the final.

It looks like you have a great selection of Daylilies. They are such super plants...the only thing I don't like about them is deadheading.

Beautiful captures of the irises, Carola! I love the wet look, it really accents the shapes and lines.

Stunning! I loved your hollyhock too. I am enjoying your garden very much. When we moved into our house we had flowers from March to July and the rest of the year it was just green. our flowers are much more varied now, thank goodness!

Another blogger friend of mine just did a post on her daylilies, Carola. My guess is she could answer any question you have: They're gorgeous...and lucky you that they came with the house!
