Decoupaging Pumpkins

Good morning, WOYWWers -

yes, it's morning here, and I know, most of you probably already enjoy their afternoon tea. I'm still at my first cup of coffee!

So here's my desk this morning:

I'm decorating those paper mache pumpkins that glow in such a nice orange. I painted them with acrylic paint and now am going to decoupage them with all those little paper squares I'm currently cutting. I have no idea whether this will work out, I've never done this before. So it might be a disaster, it might be nice. We'll see.

If you want to peek at work desks around the world, hop on over to Julia's blog to find more!

Oooh love your pumpkins... hopefully they will be ready for Halloween?? ;) I learned that with pasting decopage paper on curves, the smaller the pieces the easier it is!

Very cool. The orange color looks like pumpkin pie. I was going to link up to WOYWW and got as far as taking a photo of my desk, then got side tracked with a different thought, then a neighbor stopped by and that was that. Maybe next week. :)

I got blown away by your beautiful blog heading picture....I am originally from South Africa where we get lovely coastlines like this and it made me home sick. Your pumpkins are gorgeous, such a bright and vibrant colour. Thanks so much for popping over to my blog to have a nose at my desk too, I really appreciate it.

What fabulous pumpkins. Would love to know what you are going to do with them all. Question - do you keep them for next year and if so how do you store them away?
ps I know they are not real - just thinking of the space for storing. #142

Carola - I hope you don't mind me asking this, but when I just came to your blog for the first time, like i do everytime i visit a new blog, I read the blog owners profile... I noticed that you said you lived with your husband - you've put that he's geek - is that meant to say greek - or is he really a geek !!! I hope you don't mind me saying - but it made me smile - whether its meant to say it or not LOL

Thanks for coming to my blog and leaving a comment..!!!
