Put a Bird on It!

Admittedly there is not much of a fence to see in this post - the fence is only a prop of which we see just little parts. It's my backyard fence that is just the background for the birds who love to come to my garden. Like the California Towhee in the top photo. He - or she? - likes to sit on the fence and its posts.

And so does the Junco...

... who also likes to pick at the feeder hanging at the fence.

The golden-crowned sparrow likes to frequent the feeder as well...

... and also likes the view from top of the fence.

Of course, there's also the squirrel who likes both the fence and the feeders....

I'm linking up to Theresa's Good Fences!

The pretty birds gives the fences a glimpse of a look
and the squirrel

Where there are bird feeders, there are squirrels, right? Great bird pictures, as well as the fence.

What a smart fence to attract all those birds and a squirel ... only one squirrel? how do you manage that. At my feeders there are many and there seem to be more each year :) Your pictures are lovely and I see some birds that I don't see around my feeders ... that is always fun. Very Nice, Carola ...

Sweet birds sitting on your fence. It's neat that you have a nice perch for them. Also an adorable little squirrel.

Your images are so clear and beautiful! Are you using a telephoto lens or are you really able to get so close?

I love it that you have so many birds in California that are similar to ours east of the Rockies...but different. ;)
