WOYWW - Tuesday evening

It's another Wednesday - well, Tuesday evening - so it's time for WOYWW.

As you can see, it's all turquoise - I'm currently working on this week's color for the Creative Color Challenge. Turquoise is a relative new color for me, I haven't worked with that very often (I used "laguna" often or teal), and first I felt a little bit lost. I didn't have any turquoise paint, so I headed to the craft store only to realize that there is no acrylic paint called turquoise, but several different ones, some more blue, others more green. I finally went with "Desert Turquoise" which reminds me of the sea as well as of Santa Fe. Sounds good to me.

I'm in the middle of the challenge and still don't really know where it will take me. But that is the fun of it. I'm sure that it will be some sea theme, I already have stamped some shells and mermaids, they will be used in the collage, I just don't know yet in what way.

If anyone wants to join in the "What's on your work desk? Wednesday" you can stop by Julia at Stamping Ground to get more information.

this was a colour i had to meet. art journaling helped with that. i really didn't know it at all. but it's beautiful.
not a primary colour i use, but now i can let it sneek in occassionally.

Ooh considering you're not sure about where it's going, it looks pretty good to me - it's such a rich yet vibrant colour, I love it - it sits so well with colours that it shouldn't!

Love the color! I had been working with those colors in my bathroom, but it turned out a bit more on the green turquoise side. I love it, but I seem to like to the blues as well, so I think I will accent with the blue turqouise too to satisfy my inability to choose one color. lol

I'm in a TEAL swap, which I think is so close to turquoise, it isn't funny. I love these images and hope to see something finished next WOYWW (hint). BTW, I love your blog banner.

Fabulous colour, one of my favourites, love it with chocolate brown. I do like it when you don't know where a project is going and sort of takes itself along.
