What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday

My work space is our former dining table. It's now really mine - only on rare occasions do I completely clean it, for example when I'm teaching a private card class. Meals are being eaten at the kitchen table.

Today I'm working on the Creative Color Challenge. I always have a huge piece of paper beneath my work on which I doodle, try stamps and inks, jot down ideas. It stays there often for weeks or even months and eventually turns into its own piece of art.

If you want to join the "What's on your workdesk? Wednesday" hop on over to Stamping Ground.

Dear Carola-thank you for your kind compliments on my blog banner. I think I may have to change it though! I am working on my Etsy banner and I want to have a somewhat cohesive look.
I am so gald that you have a working area-it makes all the difference! You really don't want to see my desk...a happy mess it is!!

Hi Carola,
I love the idea of the paper beneath your work, and it looks great! I usually just use newspaper and that just goes straight into the recycling bin. Nice job! I also like the card in the last post. Patsy from

Carola, I don't know where to start - lov ethe photograph tha tis your banner, love the idea that you use the 'former' dining table and absolutely LOVE what you're working on!! There's a n order to your desk too - the bits around you are what you're using..and you only have one sheet of paper under the project. I work on a wobbly pile...or seem to!

Well, I've only just today starting fooling around at my little semi-open-air studio workspace. Really loving that everything is handy and organized. I'm looking forward to making a mess and hoping something ends up coming out of it!

Is this your first time participating in WOYWW? I sure hope so, because I try to get to everyone. That piece on your desk/table is beautiful. I love simple and uncluttered in both my work space and my art. This speaks to me.

Some of my best backgrounds started as papers I placed under my projects. There's a spontaneous quality to them that simply can't be duplicated by trying to create that look.

Happy WOYWW.

I love the paper turned to art! I use a stack of old paper placemats and have often admired...before throwing away! Your desk/dining table looks fantastic!
