Paint Party Friday 11

I'm finally working on my art journal again. I hadn't touched it for quite a while except to gesso some pages. But two days ago I just sat down and put some acrylic paint on a page and today it's almost done - I just need to do some journaling. I used the heavy body acrylics again, I love those, and what I especially like about them is that it is so easy to add some texture to the paint. This time I simply pressed some bubble wrap into the wet paint and like the texture that I got. So easy.

There are more great works of art to see at Paint Party Friday - go and treat yourself to some wonderful bloghop.

  7. You have such wonderful ideas, Carola. I have a lifelong friend named Carola who is a quilter, a seamstress, a cardmaker, and a fabulous photographer. Your enthusiasm reminds me a lot of her. (I've tried to get her to start blogging but she says she's too busy.)

  10. Oh Carola, the colors are so yummy! I love the birds on the branch. It's very well balanced, design wise. I have never tried heavy body acrylics. Forgive my ignorance, but they are the ones in the tubes, right? I have only used the acrylics in the bottles. Have a wonderful holiday weekend! Happy PPF :-)

  18. WOW, I love the color palette you chose- it's so passionate and intense- LOVE it! And I must say, as a newbie to journaling, thanks for mentioning that you gessoed some pages, I know this is kind of obvious, but it really never occurred to me to do that ;) Great solution to bleed throughs and light weight papers- so THANK YOU!
Happy PPF (a day late ;))
