So, this is on my table today:
Finally I've started an art journal - sort of. I just dived in and created this page after I had walked through my yard and found many tulips and daffodils peeking their heads out of the soil. It feels like spring over here whereas the Midwest is drowning under heaps of snow. Really weird. But it made me happy and motivated me to create this page without much thinking.
My Valentine's class last Thursday went very well, I had a few new participants which is always nice (although I like my "fanclub"). Here are the cards and tags we made:
Hi Carola. Your journal is great. You will love using it for all kinds of stuff... ideas for art, personal thoughts, etc. And the cards and tags you made in class are fab! Happy WOYWW! Hugs~ :-)
ReplyDeletelove your work, great workspace, Happy WOYWW - thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're up late. Not used to seeing your name so soon. I like all those cards and tags. I bet you DO have a fan club. Thanks for stopping by before bedtime. OH, guess it's not that late in CA!

Wow...you've been really busy. Valentines are really sweet and I really love your a-z photos. I miss how the crocus and tulips would just come up every year back East. Only thing that happens in So Cal is the mountains go from brown to green. Enjoy your spring.
ReplyDeleteLove the valentine projects! Happy WOYWW.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely Carola, to be inspired by nature so soon in the year - the promise of things to come huh - and love tha tyou just got on with it - sometimes the planning takes out all the energy from a piece huh. Loving the warmth of the colour on that page.

Wednesday morning has become my favorite blog day because I can view your desk as well as the others who take part in WOYWW.
ReplyDeleteI purchased a few supplies last week (when they were on sale) to start an art journal. I think the art teacher at my school is going to give me a few mixed media classes to get started. I am VERY excited.
I love your page --- I hope one day I can create one like that with little effort :)
I love the valentines! Those are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely art work you have on show today. Thanks for sharing.

It's lovely when something inspires you to create a project and you just have to get started on it there and then!

Fun Valentines!!! Your desk looks inviting. I'll be looking forward to the art journal too.
ReplyDeleteSuch Cuteness!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're a 100% correct on both counts:
ReplyDelete1. The world definitely laughs in flowers, and
2. There's absolutely no sign of outdoor flowers in the Midwest at the moment, in fact, the only colour outside my window right now is white!!
