This rusty fence or gate I discovered in Olompali State Park near the historic buildings. Only when I came closer did I see all the beautiful detail that was hidden in the shade of the huge trees.

When I saw all the rust I had to think of Knipsa and how much she would like this. I'm pretty sure she would have loved this place.
The gate must have been very pretty once, and it still kept some of that beauty long gone.

Isn't this just beautiful? I loved it and spent quite some time looking for lovely rusty detail. I like how well it works with the green background.

This is, of course, for Kim's Texture Tuesday!
Carola, I love this artistry of rust on the old metal fasteners. They must be really sturdy.
ReplyDeleteI really like this place too from what you've captured! That was, actually still is, just a bit tired, but a very unique fence.
ReplyDeleteYesssssss!!! :)))
ReplyDeleteDAS ist wirklich was für mich, hab gestern auch bisschen Rost bekommen, aber noch nicht ein Viertel so schön wie Deins. :))

I love old stuff like this. So much character and charm....makes me wonder how times were when it was new and fresh. Hubs is taking me to see another old church today. Can't wait. Talk soon!
ReplyDeleteBelíssimas fotos naturais com os pormenores do efeito do tempo sobre o metal.

So much texture! And the details in that old fence are a wonder to behold. Great photos!
ReplyDeletelovely. Rust does have it's beauty. Awesome hoot Carola.
ReplyDeleteRust is often a slow and silent killer - but so very beautiful with it.
ReplyDeleteI love all those rusty details.
ReplyDeletewonderful rust. don't you love people who also love rust : ) I especially like the last two. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAltersspuren sind immer sehr interessant. Werkstücke, die einstmals ein Mensch gefertigt hat, die benutzt wurden und irgendwann unbenutzt vor sich hindämmerten ...
ReplyDeleteTolle Aufnahmen.

Wonderful rust. I especially like the third from bottom . . . wonderful colors from the rust to the background.
