The Last One Standing

Most of my lavender is gone - but this one is still standing! Standing up to winter, rain, winds, digging squirrels. Quite amazing.


Here's the recipe:
layered original photo with kk_bestill in linear burn at 47%;
levels adjustment on the texture only;
added the quote;
layered with kk-hughes in soft light at 100%;
levels adjustment on the texture only.

    Lavendel mag ich sowieso.

    Lavender is one of my very favorite scents - pure and clean. Your picture of the last lavender spike is perfect! The green background, richly textured, really sets off the lavender, so sharply focused. Beautiful quote and lovely sentiment - appreciation for the last of the season.

    Gosh! I can't believe you've still got lavender. It's beautiful. I love lavender and we've tried but failed to grow it many times in our garden. Very pretty editing and photo.

    It's such a lovely composition...beautifully textured just the way I like! I have used this quote as a theme for awhile, particularly as the landscape becomes rather dreary.

    This is just gorgeous, Carola! :) The only thing in blooms here in Scotland were roses, but after today's sleet and now the frost, I think they will all die... thanks for sharing this beauty! :)

    The quote works well with the picture. For someone who clicks a few Photoshop buttons it's hard to follow your technical info Carola but I'm trying - honest.

    The quote is perfect for this « brin de lavande.” I don’t understand the recipe though, too technical.
