I haven't been here for over a week. Kaefer had surgery last week, she got all her wisdom teeth out, and I took the chance to spoil her a little bit. She is back to her "old" self by now and doing very well.
In the mornings, when I am sitting in my kitchen which faces northeast, I like to see all the shadows the early sunlight throws on the wall and kitchen counters.
But it also plays with the light in my "pantry" which is just an open shelf. It's the combination of shadow and light plus the morning silence that I really love. It's the time when I am usually at peace and the entire day is waiting for me.
This blue bottle stands in one of my kitchen windows and I love the little glow the sunlight turns it into.

I adore the soft light in the morning and when it is teemed with bird song I am at peace.
ReplyDeleteI have a crystal outside the kitchen window and I love the coloured lights which dance in the kitchen. A joyous start to the day.
You see so much beauty in everything...like a true artist.
ReplyDeleteThe dreaded wisdom tooth extraction, you must be happy to have it over and done with. I hope that is wasn't too difficult for Keifer.
Ouch! Your poor little one - I guess it is that age for them, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHenry has always been slow in getting teeth, so I don't think he'll have to get his done until next year.

I hope Keifer is fully recovered. I remember having jaw ache for a good week after they took one of mine out. Your photos are wonderful. I love the magical quality of your shadows, and the blue bottle is so beautiful
ReplyDeleteI too love morning shadows...the first one is beautiful and my favorite!
ReplyDeleteIt's never easy to get those wisdom teeth extracted, best with Kaefer's recovery! These shadows have a lovely abstract quality. (Our mornings are a bit more rainy grey:)
ReplyDeleteWisdom teeth! Ouch! Hope Kaefer is doing well ;o) Loving the pictures! Very cool! My mornings are bright and early ;o) Take Care ;o)
ReplyDeleteMy mornings probably look a lot like yours. Sometimes the marine layer hovers until nearly noon though. Love that blue bottle.

My mornings aren't as peaceful or contemplative as yours ;). I wake up to my toddler pouncing on my head with giggles or crying because he needs something, which usually wakes my 3 year old. I change diapers, get drinks and breakfast sorted, settle them down to play while I take a fast shower and before I know it, it's lunch time.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed spoiling your girl a bit and hope she's feeling alright now!!
