Our neighborhood has a whole lot of crows. You can hear them everyday, their screams and sometimes really funny noises that always crack me up. We have many big old trees close to our house, and this is where the crows like to gather in the early evening. It's crow central big time.
They sit in the bare trees, enjoying the last rays of the sun...
... and in the pine trees across the street.
They love to sit on the wire right next to our house, chatting and busy hopping around.
I love to watch them individually. Each of them seems to be a character, and I do think that crows are full of good humor, but also quite sassy. I know that many people don't like them, but I have to admit that I love crows. They entertain me every day.
I've found a blog of a kindred spirit who loves to paint crows - MagicLoveCrow - and her paintings are beautiful and so much fun. They show the side of crows that I really love - and so does she.
Now - on which side are you? Do you like crows or not so much?
I'm afraid I'm of the "not so much" variety - LOL!

Well, crows are interesting birds, and I do like them, not love though. But there is no harm in living near them, if they don't destroy crops :)

We have them too Carola. I think "sassy" is a good choice of words! They don't have the pretty songs of the other birds but yes, they sure to have personality! I enjoy all the birds - no matter the personality. Great shots!!
ReplyDeleteCrows are definitely very positive characters and, on the whole, I can admire them. I just don’t like them nesting in my trees because of the noise in the early morning when they have young.
ReplyDeleteI like crows too and actually I like all birds. I just spent half an hour close to my kitchen window trying to snap the birds coming to the bird feeders, but it is so hard as they are quick and my camera slow. I think crows are super intelligent and fun. Your photos are very good.

ReplyDeleteoooh then I see these crows. We have a lot of them in our trees out here. I took a lot of fotos of them this winter raiding my birdfeeders and such. You got some great shots here of them.
