Orange is a color that really makes me happy. It is such a warm bright color that brightens up my darkest mood. As a sunny welcome I painted our entryway in orange - the color is called "Bird of Paradise" (Behr) and it's awesome. It puts a smile on your face. Of course, one of the walls in my studio is painted in that color as well.

ReplyDeleteI adore purple and any shade from lavender, lilac etc., as it is so serene yet vibrant, rich but cool. I wear it so often, even on my toes and fingernails! I choose Purple plants for the garden, pink and blues too but never orange or yellow. I allow the odd orange or yellow plant to seed naturally if it arrives by chance merely to add the contrast of a complementary colour. It is part of our character and personality to be drawn to certain colours and colour therapy is an important influence in who or what we are.

Beautiful! My favourite colour is jade green. I love peacocks, iridescent butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies. My Bridesmaids wore jade green too
