... but there are always the photos, and they will stay with us.
My favorite one of the family of Great Horned Owls was Mama Owl. Sometimes I had the feeling that, the way she looked at us, she actually recognized us after a certain time (I mean, we were there almost every evening). Well, I know, she probably did not. But I can dream, can't I? Anyway, she was a great character and I was lucky to get some great shots of her.
Doesn't she look perky?
.
Tolle Fotos, ganz besonders gut gefällt mir das vorletzte. Sieht so aus, als würde die Eule lachen :D
ReplyDeleteThe owls are gone, but the beautiful memories live on in your fantastic photography!

Carola, these are just awesome - what a wonderful adventure you had watching that all unfold. And I could totally believe that she recognized you!!
ReplyDeleteShe does look perky in the last photo, Carola, but I LOVE the second photo. It is priceless.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little sad to think the owlets are grown up and gone, but that is the way of things, and we got to enjoy their childhood and adolescence through your camera, for which I am very grateful.
