WOYWW 99

One more week and we'll have the 100th WOYWW - thanks to our wonderful Julia who every Wednesday motivates people to show their desk to the world and let each other find inspiration by visiting work desks around the globe.

Nothing much on my desk. I have started a new canvas for a girl, this one will be a dog lover - at least that's the plan. I never know where it will take me the further I get along with the work. I actually should work on tags since I'm teaching a tag-making class next week and it's still not completely designed. I have sort of lost my energy for these classes... I am so much enjoying teaching the German class at the moment that there doesn't seem to be much room left for the other classes. Perhaps it's also getting "old" and I'm looking for something new to teach. The problem is that I have to give in my class proposals extremely early, when I really don't know what I would love to teach six to nine month in the future. Or perhaps I'm just a bit burned out and simply need a break. I know that in the end I will enjoy teaching this class just as I did all the others.

Enjoy hopping around the world and visiting so many different desks. Until next Wednesday.

  3. Keep that positive attitude. I know you sound like you are a bit tired of teaching tags, but I bet this one will be great, too. Keep the enthusiasm going, dear friend.

  8. Interesting desk with lots of fun things to look at! I find classes to be a hassle recently especially when I want to do something a little more challenging and not a soul in the class wants to do it. Thanks for sharing. Vickie aka okienurse #37

  15. Nice to see so much stuff on your desk, ready for use. I can see how it must be very difficult to be enthusiastic about teaching something you planned 6 months ago- it must hard to keep the momentum going. Shaz #76

  16. Sounds as though you do need a break ...maybe you need to go somewhere beautiful so you can just capture it on film and worry about nothing else. Good luck with the canvas and the class

  17. Love the music paper on the canvas on your desk and understand about the teaching classes, though I always enjoy the teaching it always means I have no time to do new stuff... just teaching bits I have already mastered! Annette #5

  19. How anyone can say what they will want to be crafting nine months down the line beats me, I can’t even decide what I want to do tomorrow.
Good luck with the canvas though, it sounds interesting.

    Have fun and ……….Happy Crafting!

  20. I love your desk.
    I would never photograph mine.
I think you'll become energized by your students when the tag-making class starts, and you'll get the adrenalin you need.

  23. I've been flying under the radar these past few weeks, but I wanted you to know that I still look forward to your WOYWW posts. You inspire me with your creativity :)

And while you are tired of the tags classes - I would love to see a post about them. I am hoping to do lots of stamping/scrapbooking/mixed media this summer and I could use all the help I can get :)

  26. Ooh am loving the start of the new canvas, it's a fascinating process. I don't htink you're burned out, it's the choosing the subjects so far ahead for sure - turn it on it's head a bit and use tags as mini canvasses to be framed rather than stuck on cards....all new dimensions, bet your lovely canvas layering techniques would make a great class - can't I see a character of yours on a tag already?

  30. So inspiring that you're always looking for something new - to teach..to create..to explore!

  31. Planning so far ahead is always difficult when you know there will be lots of new things to play with by then. I am sure you will find the impetus to do it - all you need is one of your pupils to suddenly get inspired and you will get a real buzz.
Thank you so much for your visit to me and your encouraging comments.

  32. .Would love to see the finished canvas. I would hate to have to decide what I was going to teach 6 months in advance! My attention span is way too short. LOL
I am sure the class will be great. Enjoy. Happy belated WOYWW

  33. Lots of lovely interesting stuff on your desk and look forward to seeing the finished canvas. Deciding what to teach so far in advance seems a sure way to quell your creative spirit but I'm sure that you will enjoy the class - tags are great projects to work on. Hope your week has been a good one so far. Elizabeth x #108
