WOYWW 92

Hello WOYWWers, are you ready to hop around the world? Take a peek at other crafty people's desks, thanks to the wonderful Julia of Stamping Ground who gathers a whole lot of those people on her site. Take a look and have fun visiting all those creative spaces.

Perhaps some of you remember what was on my desk last week:

Over the past few days I continued working on this canvas - I'm not a very fast worker, especially not when there are so many other things to do. Yesterday it looked like this:

And today, I was finally able to finish it.

This is my first canvas for the She Art Workshop with Christy Tomlinson I'm taking at the moment. Her girls usually don't have faces, but I couldn't leave my girl without any kind of face. I haven't painted faces before and I practised a lot until I just did it - nothing elaborate as you can see - and I'm quite happy with the result. I had incredible fun creating this canvas, playing around. I looked forward to it every day. I'm so glad I signed up for this class.

  8. Your canvas looks wonderful. I never made one by myself, but I hope I can do it once. I'm also a slow worker and I don't care because it's fun to make all these Arts.

  13. OMG, Carola. You are quite the artist! I love not only the finished canvas but the image of your work space. It made my fingers itchy just seeing it. :) In fact, just last week I got out my colored felt-tipped pens and colored a Native American mandela. Something I haven't done in years! It felt so good.

  39. Hi Carola, thank you so much for commenting on my blog, I wrote an answer to you there.

We definitely share a passion for photography, art and learning by doing! ;) It's so nice to meet you!

Mir fällt erst jetzt auf, dass ich ja auch in deutsch schreiben kann, aber das kommt mir etwas unhöflich vor, da mich die anderen Leser vermutlich nicht verstehen...

  42. Hi again and thank-you for popping over to see me! In response to your question, this is the first year I've done this. Can't manage to do a week every week, and too much goes by in a month to remember, but a fortnight feels about right. Just experimenting. Many thanks again, and will be visiting often. :)

  48. Hi Carola,
Love your canvas...it is fabulous. Thanks for photographing your process too. I love seeing how you got to the finished product.
I ended up working 3 days in a row and I am exhausted. Not surprising since it has been 6 years since I last worked as a teacher. The icing on the cake is I received a paycheck! Woo hoo me! Cha-ching I'm going shopping!
