Hello WOYWWers, I hope that 2011 has been good to you so far, you're warm and hopefully the flu bug hasn't met too many of you.
It seems that my table always looks pretty much the same:
Yes, I DID clean up last week, both table and floor, but it doesn't take long until the table looks messy again. This time I got out the "love stuff" - I'm currently designing my Valentine's class. Valentine's Day is NOT my favorite holiday, but it's so popular here in the US that it would be pretty stupid not to offer a class on Valentine's cards. This time, however, I want to try to avoid red and pink as much as possible and work with colors that you don't find that often in combination with Valentine's. I have to admit that after what had happened last week I'm having a hard time getting into the "heart stuff". Sorry that I mention this again, I'm still not comprehending it and can't make any sense of it (will I ever?).
Short and sweet today, and if you want to know what I am rambling about you should visit our "Queen of snoop" Julia at Stamping Ground. Enjoy the journey!
I am so happy to see a desk that looks like mine,:)- I refuse to call it clutter- its inspiration waiting to strike!
ReplyDeletefab bag- great desk - loads going on...lots of punches

I don't "do" valentine either, (blame the divorce, lol!) but I love your desk. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteAs always, love snooping at your desk Carola! Valentine's Day is totally over rated!
ReplyDeleteGive yourself time to grieve for your friends. It's okay that you mention it!! Happy WOYWW otherwise. Hugs~~
Sorry to hear about your young friend. I like the idea of not using red and pink for valentine's cards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful colourful desk. So sorry to hear of the loss of your friends in such tragic circumstances.

As a single person Valentine's Day is NOT my favorite holiday either. I had a coworker who called it Singles Awareness Day (SAD).
ReplyDeleteYou have some lovely bird stamps there to design with, so have fun with those. So sad to hear your news.

ReplyDeleteSuch a busy desk! Love it. How can you have a coffee cup on your desk? I'd be so worried about knocking it over :)

I truly hope that nice, busy desk can distract your mind from the terrible events of last week, what a shock for you all and what a waste of a beautiful, young life.

I totally understand why you are not particularly interested in Valentine's Day, especially after Katie's senseless death. I am glad you are working on a few V cards, though. Why, you ask? Because I need inspiration and you ALWAYS provide it.
ReplyDeleteI know. It took me till Friday to get back here, but I knew I'd be here for the IA challenge. Have a "warm" and healing weekend, dear.
Kreatives Chaos würde ich mal sagen ;) Das lädt richtig zum mitmachen ein.
ReplyDeletelove all your heart bits - I dont do valentines since my daughter was born nearly 17 years ago on valentines day its been her birthday celebrations instead ~ Nicky 45
