Halloween Cats

Hello WOYWWers, nice to "see" you!

I hope you're all having a good week and enjoy this Wednesday's snoop around the world onto other people's workspaces. If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, hop on over to the lovely Julia of Stamping Ground to get the whole picture.

My work table is - empty! Can you believe it? I had to cancel my "Halloween Cats" card class at the Center, but after the cancellation I offered it at my home and I had four people sign up and it was a go. Of course I had to clear my table for that, which actually is a good thing to do every now and then. After each class I tell myself that I should never get the table messy again, but it only takes a very short time until we're back to the same old mess. I guess you know this circle...

These are the cards we made - fast and easy, clean and simple; the big tag was a bonus project:

I've also started working on one of the papermache pumpkins that were sitting on my table last Wednesday. I wanted to decoupage both, but after I had started with the first one I've decided to do something else with number two. What a pain!!! Currently the pumpkin looks like this:

I seem to run around with constantly sticky fingers...

That's it, girls! Have a happy WOYWW and I will "see" some of you today!

  2. I really think you pumpkin is beautiful. On my work table right now I have more on-lays for the family room project; a ball of thread for new crocheted edgings for my china cabinet; and a new dress, that is almost finished!

  7. I like the clean table look, and those cards (and tag) are really great. Nice and each looks completely different. That pumpkin looks like it took you forever and ever to cut and glue those various papers onto it. Good LUCK with finishing it. I suspect the worst/most time consuming is over, though. Happy WOYWW (no. 12).

  16. I absolutely LOVE the patchwork pumpkin! Is it difficult to do? Would you consider posting directions? I have always shied away from sticky hands or painted fingers - but I am learning to embrace the messy in order to develop my creativity.

  24. That pumpkin is gorgeous. I know the feeling of being constantly covered with glue - dunno why, but it always seems to stick to my nails as though they are peeling. Looks as though the group will have had lots of fun with those cards. Bernie #126

  36. I laughed when you said you had to clear off your table for your four guests. I used to host events in my dining room and told my hubby that it was good to have classes here so I'd keep the house cleaner! I like your cards. That pumpkin looks like a lot of work. Thanks for sharing!
